Hello again! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much… I have been working hard though (on crap) on multiple projects…. I’ve been sketching a lot of hetalia stuff, so I might post a HUMUNGEOUS sketch dump….or two….but there’s a lot of crap so I might not… it all depends…

My parents saw this, (at different times.) My dad said something like “wow, she’s pretty” *FACEPALM*… then, later my mom said something like “I like it. But the tear is a little low-cut. Where’s her breast?” *EPICFACEPALM-thenibangmyheadagainstthetable*


Oh, well. Haha I’m still proud of it! Anyway, this basically took over my brain from the minute I started it. I had so much fun making it, and I couldn’t stop working. I’m glad it’s finally finished!
This is my entry for ‘s contest for Dark!China. I had done a sort of similar sketch (the only similarity is the burn idea and all of the blood…) but with Poland, so this came along.
This composition is supposed to represent all of the pain China suffered during the “Great Proletarian cultural revolution” or just “the cultural revolution” Under Chairman Mao. I don’t want to give you any inaccurate info, so please, if you’re interested, look it up. It’s quite a sad story, really…
Wang Yao has had his heart burned and scarred by communism. His red armband has been torn off, and his Red Guard uniform is shredded and grimy. He is wounded, bloody, and his flag is bleeding in his hands… even the yellow stars bleed against the scarlet of his dying flag…He is alone, in the darkness. He is essentially at war with himself. He is torn and bloodied, and wishes the pain would finally end… It fills me with such grief to know how much china suffered under the rule of Chairman Mao. Like Hitler, at first what Mao was doing helped China, and his people believed in him, trusted him, and practically worshipped him. But, he grew hungry for more power and many people suffered because of this…
The white words say “Cultural Revolution” in Chinese. (If this is incorrect, please let me know!!! )
gave me her opinion on many things in this composition, she was like…a creative consultant? She’s awesome.
